Choosing your metal
Your metal sets the tone of the ring. Here's what each option offers in color, durability, and price.
14K Gold
14K gold is 58.5% pure gold mixed with stronger metals (silver, copper, palladium). It's harder than 18K, more scratch-resistant, and the most popular choice for daily wear.
Available in:
- 14K Yellow Gold: classic warm color
- 14K White Gold: bright cool color (rhodium-plated finish)
- 14K Rose Gold: pink-blush tone from copper alloy
Best for: everyday rings, active hands, wedding bands you'll wear for decades.
18K Gold
18K gold is 75% pure gold. Visibly warmer and more saturated than 14K, particularly in yellow. Slightly softer, so micro-scratches show faster on the surface.
Available in:
- 18K Yellow Gold: deeper, more saturated yellow
- 18K White Gold: bright cool color (rhodium-plated finish)
Best for: statement pieces, anniversary rings, eternity bands where color depth matters more than scratch resistance.
Platinum
Platinum is naturally white, never plated, and the densest of our metals (about 60% heavier than 14K gold). It's hypoallergenic, never tarnishes, and develops a soft patina over time that many people prefer.
Best for: full-eternity bands, daily-wear engagement rings, pairing with a platinum-set diamond.
Care basics
For everyday cleaning, warm water and mild soap is enough. Rhodium-plated white gold will need re-plating every 2 to 3 years to keep its bright finish.
